FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Joanne Langford Launches Long-Awaited English Version of “Finding Light in the Darkness” A Christian Course Offering Restoration & Hope for Survivors of Abuse

May 2025 – Canada — After years of success with her acclaimed Spanish-language course, Finding Light in the Darkness, Christian trauma support advocate and educator Joanne Langford is proud to announce the official launch of the course in English, tailored for North American audiences seeking healing from past trauma and abuse through a faith-based lens.

This highly anticipated launch stems from a growing demand across Canada and the U.S. for accessible, Christ-centered mental health resources. With a strong calling to serve her home country, Joanne and her dedicated team have spent months translating and culturally adapting the course to provide the same depth, compassion, and spiritual guidance that has impacted countless lives in Latin America.

“I believe healing is possible when faith meets action,” says Joanne Langford, founder of Knowing Me Ministries. “Bringing Finding Light in the Darkness to an English-speaking audience has been on my heart for years, and I’m grateful to finally offer it to those who need it most.”

Designed as a more affordable and flexible alternative to traditional counselling, the self-paced course allows participants to work through its modules privately and on their own schedule. It’s an ideal option for individuals who may not have access to therapy due to financial, geographic, or personal limitations.

Course members also receive access to a private Facebook community and regular live Zoom sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment where participants can share, connect, and grow—together.

Langford, whose own journey of healing and ministry is detailed at knowingme.ca, has helped thousands find peace and restoration through a Christ-centered approach to emotional recovery. With the English version of Finding Light in the Darkness launching in May 2025, she is opening the door for even more lives to be transformed.

Beyond helping individuals, Langford works closely with religious groups that are seeking resources and tools for their ministry. Many course participants are leaders of churches who are wishing to gain insight on the sensitive topic of abuse. For those taking this course to help others, Joanne wishes to remind you that no one walks through this life without wounds. We all carry burdens that need to be laid at the feet of Jesus.

"The best way to walk alongside others is to first walk this journey yourself," explains Joanne. Healing is not just about knowing the right things to say—it is about understanding, through personal experience, the depth of compassion, the power of forgiveness, and the absolute necessity of depending on God for every moment of life, even in suffering. The more deeply you allow Him to work in you, the more deeply you will be able to minister to others.

This course is an invitation to transformation. It is a sacred place to bring your fears, your hopes, your doubts, and your wounds before the One who already knows them all.

"I pray that through this process, you will encounter the love of God in a way that changes everything,” says Joanne.
